​Fireflies, a novella, with two shorter works– Fireflies is taken from David Stanley's epic novel, Aggie Braga: An American Fable. Also included in this volume are a short story, The Baseball Thief, based on Stanley's experience as a boy in a Catholic orphanage; and My Prairie Guru, a reminiscence about his mentor, writer and painter, William Burford.
